    1. At the time that you place an enquiry or cake order with us;
    When you enter a competition or promotion and/or when you report a problem with our site;
    2. We may keep a record of your correspondence when you contact us;

    3. Google Analytics web tool is used as a tracking device to ascertain how visitors use this website in order to improve the customer experience. All data collated by Google Analytics is anonymous where no personally identifiable information is collected about you unless you explicitly submit that information on this website.     4. The process of card transactions to pay for cake orders through the online Cake Shop is undertaken by Stripe.com therefore we do not keep a record of your personal card information on our server. Please refer to Stripe’s Privacy Policy which details how they collect, use and disclose data.

    How does AJ’s Classic Cakes use cookies?

    1. Google Analytics web tool is used to collate data showing how visitors engage with our website identifying trends to assist us in improving the overall customer experience.     Terms and Conditions

    1. Cake orders

    1.1 By placing an order with AJ’s Classic Cakes (to be known as AJCC throughout), the customer will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

    1.2 Cake Orders can be requested via the Contact Us page within the website or by email, telephone and Social Media messaging service.

    1.3 Provide at least 5 calendar days’ notice prior to the delivery date. Early notification is required for large orders and Events/Special Gatherings to secure the delivery date.

    1.4 For last minute orders, please contact the Baker to ensure this can be achieved within the short timescales.

    1.5 If you wish to change or add to an order, or change the date or time of delivery, we will do our best to accommodate you provided sufficient notice has been given to the Baker. Any changes are at the discretion of AJCC and may not always be possible.

    2. Delivery Information

    2.1 AJ’s Classic Cakes deliver to the following catchment areas within West Midlands and Warwickshire: Post Codes CV1 - CV8, CV31 - CV35, B37, B40, B46, B90 - B95.

    2.2 All cakes are freshly baked to order, gift wrapped and delivered to your door personally by a member of the Baker’s Team to ensure they arrive in good condition. Delivery costs will apply.

    2.3 At the time of delivery, please check that your cake order is correct and that the cakes are all in a good state (or the Third Party who is accepting the cake order on your behalf). If you should have any queries concerning the cake order, this must be advised to the driver at the time of delivery in order that AJCC may resolve the matter as soon as possible.

    Please note that if the cakes have been delivered to a third party, the third party must also adhere to these Terms and Conditions.

    2.4 The cake order will be returned to AJCC if the customer is not at the delivery address on the designated date and time agreed. Thereafter, the customer will be responsible to collect the cakes from AJCC themselves.

    2.5 AJCC is not responsible for damage caused to the cakes once they have been delivered to the customer or their nominated third party.

    3. Delivery to a Third Party

    3.1 If a third party is receiving the cake order on behalf of the customer, the third party must also adhere to these Terms and Conditions. In particular, the third party must refer to 2.3 Delivery Information.

    3.2 If the third party is not at the delivery address on the agreed date and time thus preventing the delivery of the cake order, the customer will be responsible to collect the cakes from AJCC.

    4. Delivery Costs within the catchment area denoted under 2.1 Delivery Information

    4.1 £5 for each cake order worth less than £50.

    4.2 Free delivery for each cake order worth £50 or more.

    4.3 Free delivery within Balsall Common and Berkswell villages.

    5. Payment Terms

    5.1 All payments are taken in Pound Sterling (GBP) only.

    5.2 AJCC’s Online Cake Shop accepts card payment only which is processed through www.stripe.com. Please refer to AJCC’s Privacy Policy for more information regarding usage of personal data by www.stripe.com.

    5.3 Bespoke cake orders arranged directly with the Baker can be paid by bank transfer or cash on delivery. Payment by bank transfer must have been received by AJCC before the cake order can be processed.

    5.4 Bespoke cake orders may require a non-refundable/non-transferrable deposit to secure the delivery date where the sum will be determined and advised to you by the Baker.

    6. Cancellation

    6.1 Please give at least three full working days’ notice should you wish to cancel your order and a refund will be given if you have already made full payment in advance.

    6.2.If cancellation is given in less than three full working days’ prior to delivery date, AJCC reserve the right to charge for any costs already incurred.

    6.3 If a deposit has been paid to secure the cake order, this is non-refundable/non-transferrable – see Payment Terms above.

    7. Refunds

    7.1 Cake orders paid for in full will be refunded provided the order is cancelled at least three full working days prior to the delivery date.

    7.2 If a deposit has been paid, this is non-refundable/non-transferrable – see Payment Terms above.

    7.3At the time of delivery please check that your cake order is correct and that the cakes are in a good state (or the third party who is accepting the cake order on your behalf). If you should have any queries concerning the cake order, this must be advised to the driver at the time of delivery in order that AJCC may resolve the matter as soon as possible.

    7.4 Your opinion of the overall taste of the cakes is based on personal preference and can be subjective therefore we cannot accept the return of cakes because you do not like the taste or texture. Likewise, refunds will not be given for any cake consumed as consumption is viewed as your acceptance that the cake is satisfactory.

    8. Storage

    8.1 AJCC recommends that the customer stores their cakes in a cool, dry place preferably using an airtight container and consume them within three days after delivery.

    8.2 Cakes containing dairy ingredients such as fresh cream should be refrigerated and consumed within two to three days after delivery.

    8.3 Please note that sponge cakes tend to dry out when placed in the fridge.
