All data collated by Google Analytics is anonymous where no personally identifiable information is collected about you unless you explicitly submit that information on this website. * The process of card transactions to pay for cake orders through the online Cake Shop is undertaken by Stripe.com therefore we do not keep a record of your personal card information on our server. Please refer to Stripe’s Privacy Policy which details how they collect, use and disclose data.

Terms and Conditions Last Updated May 2024
By placing an order with AJ’s Classic Cakes (to be known as AJCC), the customer will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
1.0 Governing Law
1.1 These Terms and Conditions and any separate agreements whereby AJCC provides the customer and/or recipient with services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of United Kingdom.
2.0 Intellectual Property
2.1 All rights, including copyright, trademarks and other intellectual property rights, within this website are owned by or licensed to AJ’s Classic Cakes.
2.2 These rights apply to website content including inter alia graphic design, cake product wording, imagery, and social media content.
2.3 Anyone using the website and its content is not granted any rights in relation to AJCC’s intellectual property rights.
2.4 All rights are reserved and any disclosure, reproduction, printing or reliance of the site content without prior written approval is strictly prohibited.
3.0 Cake Orders
3.1 Cake Orders can be requested through the Online Cake Shop, via the Contact Us page within the website, by email, telephone and Social Media messaging service.
3.2 Customers must provide at least 5 calendar days’ notice of the delivery date. Early notification is required for large orders and Events/Special Gatherings to secure the delivery date.
3.3 For last minute orders, please contact the Baker to ascertain whether this can be achieved within the short timescales.
3.4 If customers wish to change their cake order (cake content and/or delivery details) AJCC will do their best to accommodate provided sufficient notice has been given to the Baker. Any changes are at the discretion of AJCC.
4.0 Hand Delivery Information
4.1 AJCC hand deliver within a 20 mile radius of their base in Balsall Common, West Midlands, United Kingdom.
4.2 All cakes are freshly baked to order, gift wrapped and delivered to your door personally by a member of the Baker’s Team. Delivery costs may apply (See 5.0 Delivery Costs).
4.3 At the point of delivery, it is incumbent upon the recipient to check that the cake order is correct and/or the cakes are in a good state. If there should be any queries concerning the cake order, this must be advised at the time of delivery in order that AJCC may resolve the matter as soon as possible.
Please note that when cakes have been delivered to a third party, the third party must also adhere to these Terms and Conditions.
4.4 The cake order will be returned to AJCC if the customer/recipient is not at the delivery address on the designated date and time agreed. Thereafter, the customer will be responsible to collect the cakes from AJCC themselves.
4.5 AJCC is not responsible for damage caused to the cakes once they have been delivered to the customer or their nominated third party.
5.0 Delivery Costs (Catchment area denoted under 4.1 Delivery Information).
5.1 £6 for each cake order worth less than £50 (cost per delivery address).
5.2 Free delivery for each cake order worth £50 or more.
5.3 Free delivery for residents of Balsall Common and Berkswell villages.
6.0 Payment Terms
6.1 All payments are taken in Pound Sterling (GBP) only.
6.2 AJCC’s Online Cake Shop accepts card payment only which is processed through www.stripe.com. Please refer to AJCC’s Privacy Policy for more information regarding usage of personal data by www.stripe.com.
6.3 Bespoke cake orders arranged directly with the Baker can be paid by card (via telephone) through www.stripe.com or bank transfer. Payment of cleared funds must have been received by AJCC before the cake order can be processed.
6.4 Bespoke cake orders may require a non-refundable/non-transferrable deposit to secure the order and delivery date where the sum will be determined and advised to you by the Baker.
7.0 Cancellation and Refunds
7.1 Please give at least three full calendar days’ notice to cancel the cake order. A refund will be given if full payment has already been made in advance but AJCC reserve the right to charge for any costs already incurred.
7.2. If cancellation is given less than three full calendar days’ prior to the delivery date, AJCC reserve the right to charge for any costs already incurred rather than give a full refund.
7.3 If a deposit has been paid to secure the cake order, this is non-refundable/non-transferrable – see 6.4 Payment Terms above.
8.0 Shelf Life and Storage
8.1 It is the responsibility of the recipient to comply with the storage instructions and consume the cake(s) within the recommended shelf life provided by AJCC.
8.2 The overall taste of the cakes is based on personal preference and can be subjective therefore AJCC cannot accept the return of cakes. Likewise, refunds will not be given for any cake consumed as consumption is viewed as acceptance that the cake is satisfactory.
